RECAP - Week 3
Good Day to you fantasy managers. Nick was unavailable to recap week 3 so here I will take a stab at it
Division 1
H2H: Despite his woes in the PNTS division, Leghaters is CRUSHING it in the H2H that is until his 74 points (30 below projected) in week 3 gave cause to his loss to hennythingoes who by the way was 20 points below projected. This 1 of 2 ho-hum matchups this week. The other was stro’s subpar team vs led tasso. Stro had the correct name for his team, good forsight pal. But I want to talk more about ZackinOff who absolutely crushed it this week. Scoring an unbelievable 155.30 points earning 5 points (2 for the win and 3 bonus). So far the only team to do that across all 3 leagues running at the moment. Also having a great week in the points league and here is the kicker jumping from 23rd place all the way to 2nd place in the overall standings...astonishing!
PNTS: hmm, only 4 teams hit their projected and missy moved up a notch to 2nd place and RDG moved up 2 spots to take control of 1st place by a slim margin with 143.95 points. Could this become just a 2 man race?
Division 2
H2H: Melissa’s team vs Bacon Bits. This matchup was decided by 9 yards. That must have been hard to watch. Both teams starting WR just crapped out all 4 of them. Gaining a total of 27points between them this will not get you anywhere. The story this week was Bootlegger vs O.P. McFury it was a back and for matchup. Thursday one would take the projected lead the the sunday 1pm games the other would take the lead. Back and forth throughout the day but in the end monday night game O.P. McFury had J. Daniels needing only 15.95 of his projected 19 and he put on a show to Bootleggers dismay scoring a whopping 31.60 points sending Bootlegger back to the woods to get more “shine”.
PNTS: Despite having the most points across ANY division in week 2 (147), Alanna could not topple her friend Justin for first place. However, that was last week and she followed that up with another 140 point week to overthrow Justin and take a commanding 35 point lead. The rest of us slave to those 2 just moved around a bit with the exception of John who had a disgraceful 72 points and dropped 4 spots.
Division 3
H2H: “What a ho hum division”. Nick is correct, only 4 teams broke a 100 with Sam’s Special leading the way at 117 and winning by a whopping 41 points. No close games here and much sub-optimal performance. This division is not even averaging 100 points coming in at 97.67 avg for the 3 weeks. Hopefully, they will get learning experience from this “ho hum” division.
PNTS: Beserkers had another good performance from his team, 3 weeks in a row of 115+ points and thus he has taken the top spot with a 28 point lead. But beware ZackinOff and GuyRN#1 are in striking distance. Points 3 is just the opposite of H2H-3. As mentioned above, H2H-3 is ho-hum BUT pnts-3 is tops among the three divisions and the top 4 are all within the narrowing hunting grounds.
There ya go folks, that's your Week 3 recap. Be sure to check the overall standings. And stand by for a little bit of a site redesign. Nick and I are working on having a 'sub-site' for each league. If you hover over the "Leagues" link, you'll see he has created pages for the HardCorps League and the Grand Prix League. With new and exciting website design on the way. I sincerely hope I did justice on the recaps and hope that Nick will return with his insight in week 4.
Killlinnnnn it!
Thanks pops!! If I didn't know any better I'd think I wrote that myself. You were appropriately scathing and generous!! Careful I might have to offload more work to you!! Great week everyone! Stand by for Week 4. Also please everyone keep pops in your thoughts. All my family lives in Western NC just north of Asheville where they got pummeled by floods. I hadn't heard from them since Thursday night, but got a call from my nephew this AM, everyone is ok and there isn't too much damage to their property, but everything is down and out in the AO. Nephew had to drive 30 miles out to get cell coverage. If I don't hear from them by Thursday, I'm going to do my best to set their lineups for them (which lately has not worked well for even myself).
