Hello Managers!! As we draw close to the finish of week 1 I wanted to thank all of you for joining. I hope you have a great time running your teams this season. Most of you have already paid, but some have not. Please make it a point to get me payment soonest. I'll be reaching out to individuals who are slacking. Baseball bats and kneecaps to be involved at a later time.... To avoid confusion in this league as a whole, I'm going to start referring to the individual leagues (1's, 2's, and 3's) you are all a part of as "Divisions", and the Grand Prix as a whole the "league." So here are some divisional highlights up to this point in the week. Division 1
H2H - Only four teams are slated to underperform their predicted totals and all four of them are predicted to lose. Only one of them has already lost, 2 have a punchers chance, and 1 is going to need 42 points from C-Mac (which we all know is possible) to pull off the win. Zack and Kari are both slated to outperform their predicted score this week, and Zack will have to sit and watch helplessly as his final score is already in while Kari is praying for 15 points out of DEEEEEE BO!!!!
PNTS - Bacon Bits opened with an absolute banger, slapping a whopping 133 on the board. I'm sure we'll see higher before the season is over, but you can't be mad with that total. 7 of 10 teams are slated to break 100. The remaining three (including yours truly) might want to step it up a notch if they hope to compete in Division 1 PNTS. Division 2
H2H - Wow, you guys suck. Only 2 of you are slated to beat your predicted point total, but boy howdy those fellers are slapping 120+ up there. That'll get ya dubya most weeks. For the rest of you, that post game locker room better be you telling your players to get their shit together. The good news is at least 2 of you underperformers are still going to notch a win.
PNTS - Gonna Hurts Ya is currently holding down first with a strong 124, but Justin B is knocking on the door of that week 1 points lead with a potential 136 going to the board. Of course his players may flop tonight. We can only wait and see. I'll tell you what, the PNTS divisions are not being kind to the division commissioners. Bootlegger is also sitting in the dregs at 9th place. Even with C-Mac champing at the bit to go off tonight, it's gonna be a fight to turn that 67 into something respectable.
Division 3
H2H - We have an exciting match up tonight between Matt and Patty, both are slated to outperform their projections, and the game is up in the air. Matt is currently sporting a 23 point lead but isn't drawing dead, with Kittle still left to play. Patty is currently sitting on a monster hand, with both Breece Hall and DEEEE BO left. I'd call that pocket rockets if we are continuing with the poker jargon. Should be a nail biter for these two. Elsewhere in this Division, continuing on the commissioner woes theme, Beserkers laid quite the egg with 81 points on the board and nobody left to play. He has a chance to not be the biggest Goob of the week since three people currently have less points than him. However, they still have skin in the game with players on MNF.
PNTS - Unlike the other two Division commissioners Beserkers does NOT have issues at all in this PNTS division. While 114 is nothing to truly brag about, it's good enough for 1st place...for now. He has three people behind him with some high scoring power going into the game tonight. I don't think he is going to retain first, but he shouldn't fall too far. In other news Leghaters seems to have an aptly named team, because it appears as if most of his team doesn't have legs. Or maybe they hated their legs so much they chose not to use them. Sitting at 69 points and only projected to get 84 Leghaters is likely going to be sitting on the ground level of this PNTS division. Check your parachute next time. ALL THE WAY!! So there's some fun stuff to read over while you wait for the game tonight!
